What We Believe

One Sovereign and Holy God

There is Only one God, eternal, self existent, creator of Heaven and Earth, the Redeemer of mankind. The Sovereign "I Am".The One True and Holy God expressed in three persons; God the Father
God the Son; God the Holy Spirit.
                                           Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 5:7

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is a separate and subsequent work in the believer's Christian walk. At salvation, the new believer has a measure of the Spirit, for it was the Holy Spirit which had been drawing him to Christ, however the baptism of the Spirit is when believers receive the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit, as Jesus had promised in John 15:26 and 16:7.
The baptism is received by a believer simply faithfully asking and expecting the Father to fill him with the Holy Spirit.

The initial infilling of the Spirit is ALWAYS evidenced by the believer speaking in a new tongue. This baptism is where the believer is "endued with Power from on High" and is the "earnest (down payment) of our inheritance" and a point at which the Spirit can impart to individuals His Gifts which edify the body.

           Mark 16:16-17; Acts 1:8, 2:4

The Cross of Christ

As believers we are to keep our faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. The Cross itself is more than wooden beams, through the Holy Spirit it is the Power of God. ALL of man's problems have been nailed to the Cross with the Lord Jesus Christ and is the ONLY way a believer can have Victory!

         1 Corinthians 1:18

         Colossians 2:14-15

Water Baptism

All who repent and believe on Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are recommended in Scripture to be baptized by immersion in water.
This being an outward expression of the inward work, the new born-again believer is declared to the world that the "old man" has died and been buried with Christ and that they have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

             Matthew 3:13-17, 28:19

Sanctification by the

Holy Spirit

The evidence of an individual's salvation is a life being lived by faith in Holiness. The believer accepting Jesus as Savior has been baptized into Christ; he has been buried with Him by baptism into death. Having died to sin, he is raised with Christ to walk in newness of life and no longer desires to serve sin or fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
This is brought about by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit and His Sanctifying Power. "For the Law of the Spirit of Christ Jesus hath made me free from the Law of Sin and Death."

          Romans 6:1-23; 8:1-2,10-11

Gifts of the Spirit

The Gifts of the Spirit are given that we, the Body of Christ, might be found caring and providing for one another; to care for and look out for those who may be found to be weaker. As well they are "For the perfecting of the Saints, for the work of the Ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ."
The Gifts of the Spirit have been made available to the church as part of the atonement and are a measure by which we can know those approved of God.

                  1 Corinthians 12
